"Footloose" on stage at Sutherland High School January 15-17

High energy. Iconic music. Nonstop dancing. Pittsford Sutherland’s “Footloose” takes the stage Jan. 15-17. Adapted from the classic 80s movie, this show is an electrifying story of teenage rebellion and the transformative power of dance.  Grab your tickets and feel the beat!

Join us for Pink the Rink on Saturday, January 31 for Pink the Rink Hockey Games benefitting the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester at Tim Hortons Iceplex (2700 Brighton Henrietta Townline Rd). Pittsford Panthers take on the Fairport Red Raiders beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the JV game followed by the varsity game.

January 27 Public Forum about Capital Improvement Project Referendum

Join us at the Capital Improvement Project Public Forum on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and learn about the capital improvement referendum on the March 5 ballot.

The $48.7 million Capital Project referendum is tax neutral and designed to address priority infrastructure needs identified in the New York State-mandated Building  Condition Survey. The scope of this project includes repairs, upgrades, and modernizations to maintain a safe and efficient learning environment for students and staff.

Student Artwork on Exhibit at the “Start Here Invitational Art Show” Jan. 23-Feb. 7

Join us in celebrating student creativity at the Start Here Art Exhibit, opening with a special Opening Reception on Friday, January 23 from 5-8 p.m. at the Bevier Gallery in Rochester Institute of Technology’s James E. Booth’s Hall at 73 Lomb Memorial Drive.  

This exhibit is open to the public from January 23 to February 7, 2026 and features outstanding artwork from students at Mendon High School,Sutherland High School, Barker Road Middle School and Calkins Road Middle School.

New School Bus Safety Initiative Uses Stop-Arm Cameras to Help Keep Students Safe

Pittsford Schools is partnering with the Monroe County School Bus Safety program and stop-arm enforcement technology provider, BusPatrol, to help reinforce safe driving behaviors and provide an added layer of protection for our students at bus stops. As part of this program, Pittsford school buses will be equipped with stop-arm cameras designed to capture and enforce violations when motorists illegally pass stopped school buses.

Under NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law, drivers are required to stop for school buses displaying flashing red lights and an extended stop-arm, whether approaching from the front or rear, and regardless of roadway type. A 30-day warning period started on January 5, 2026. During this time, violators will receive warning letters without fines. Beginning February 9, drivers caught illegally passing a stopped school bus will face a $250 fine for a first offense, with escalating penalties for repeat violations within 18 months...

Check the Lost and Found by Feb. 13

It is that time of year when Pittsford Schools' lost and found collection in the maintenance area of the bus garage is overflowing. Please check to see if your child has lost anything and visit the District’s Maintenance Department at 100 Mendon Center Road BEFORE Friday, February 13, to check for lost items. Any items not picked up by that date will be donated.

  • All items must be picked up from the Maintenance Department (100 Mendon Center Road, Pittsford) before February 13, 2026.
  • The office is open 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • Items not retrieved by February 13, 2026, will be donated.
